The North Central Swimming & Diving Team had a successful showing at the Marion County Championships. The girls rode superior depth on their way to the County title, outdistancing runner-up Franklin Central 450-327.5. The boys improved upon their 2018 showing, finishing fourth in a close four-way race for the championship.

The Panther girls took top honors in three events including the opening and closing relays of the meet. The quartet of seniors Claudia Buddenbaum, Grace Lough and Meggie McPherson and freshman Kiera Kask won the 200 Medley Relay to start to the meet while McPherson, senior Sally Jones and juniors Alani Hightower and Emma Horton won the 400 Freestyle Relay to close the meet. Freshman Emily Buening had an outstanding Marion County debut, claiming the lone individual title for the girls in the 500 Freestyle.
