The North Central Boys & Girls Swimming & Diving teams successfully opened their seasons last night, picking up convincing wins over MIC rival Pike. The girls outpaced the Red Devils 131-55 while the boys won by a margin of 128-42.
The Panther girls were led by junior Alani Hightower who was a quadruple winner for the night. Hightower had individual firsts in the 200 IM and 100 Freestyle and contributed to a pair of relay wins, teaming with seniors Claudia Buddenbaum and Grace Lough and junior Emma Horton to win the 200 Freestyle Relay and teaming with Buddenbaum, senior Meggie McPherson and freshman Keira Kask to win the 400 Freestyle.
Senior Sally Jones was a triple winner, picking up individual firsts in the 200 & 500 Freestyle and teaming with Buddenbaum (triple winner), Lough (double winner) and McPherson (double winner) to win the 200 Medley Relay. Horton was also a double winner, adding an individual first in the 100 Breaststroke to her relay victory.
