The North Central Swimming & Diving Team turned in outstanding top-to-bottom performances on Tuesday at the Panther Invitational, posting comfortable wins for both the girls and boys. The Panther girls used superior depth to outdistance runner-up Brebeuf (908-414) with Bishop Chatard and Heritage Christian in third and fourth. The boys easily outdistanced runner-up Chatard (664-312) with Brebeuf and Heritage rounding out the field.
The Panther boys were led by junior triple winner Carsyn Christoffel. Christoffel picked up individual wins in the 200 IM and 100 Backstroke and teamed with seniors Yana Footman and Brooks Hillenbrand and junior Caleb Dooley on the winning 400 Freestyle Relay. Freshman Patton Shaar was also a triple winner. Shaar won the 100 Butterfly, teamed with Hillenbrand, senior Jack Isakson and sophomore Brody Friend to win the 200 Medley Relay and teamed with Friend, sophomore Johnny Marshall and freshman David Diercks to win the 200 Freestyle Relay. Marshall added an individual win in the 100 Breaststroke as did sophomore Colin Parker, who led a 1-2-3 sweep of the 100 Freestyle with Footman and Dooley.
